You’ve most likely heard statements like: “What you focus on, you get.” Or: “Where attention goes, energy flows.” But what does this actually mean?
If you’re reading this article, you’re doing so with a purpose. Maybe something in your life isn’t working, or you long to exchange something you currently have for something new, something you don’t have yet.
Think about it for a moment. If there is some kind of NO in your life, how important is it to you that it’s not there? Maybe you already practice positive thinking and know how to nudge everyday things so they unfold in your favor. It’s amazing when you manage to attract financial abundance, meet inspiring people, and things feel easy.
Maybe it didn’t even feel that important — it was just a game.
We all have many such wishes, and if you write them down so they manifest faster, you’ll be pleasantly surprised when you review them later to see how many small desires have already come true. But…
What about the big desires — the ones you desperately need to resolve quickly?
What about the burning issues that feel like hot coals in your pocket?
When smaller wishes manifest with ease, how is it possible that the important ones don’t move at all? After all, no wish is impossible… or is it?
The key question here is: “What is our true desire?” If we go back to the statement at the beginning of this article, it’s clear why things are the way they are.
I’m reminded of a powerful story shared by Anthony Robbins that illustrates this perfectly. He talks about his experience learning to drive on a race track. Professional drivers train in controlled conditions to practice how to respond to unexpected situations.
During training, the instructor suddenly presses a button that simulates a tire blowout or skid. This is never pleasant, especially at high speed, and of course, there’s also a wall alongside the track that the car could crash into if handled incorrectly.
When Tony was being briefed, the instructor warned him: the only thing you must do is keep your eyes on the road. Don’t look at the wall. But as soon as the car skidded, the first thing his mind screamed was: “Don’t hit the wall!”
The moment you focus on the wall, that’s exactly where you’ll steer. It often takes several attempts before a driver can master staying focused on the road even in stressful situations.
And that’s exactly how it works with the NOs in our lives.
Whenever we desperately don’t want something, we unconsciously put our attention on that wall. And the more we do, the closer we get to it — sometimes even making the crash inevitable.
What do our wishes and the wall have in common?
Now you can see that whatever you don’t want gains magnetic power — you either attract it, or it attracts you.
This is exactly why FasterEFT is such an effective technique.
We always seek out what we don’t want — so we can clearly define what we do want.
But unlike many other systems, FasterEFT helps us make peace with what we don’t want. That way, the wall disappears from our mental field of vision, and we can focus fully on the road ahead — with the finish line waiting at the end. And of course, we also aim to enjoy the ride.
So, reflect on this:
What wishes of yours are not being fulfilled? What are you receiving that you don’t want?
Focus your attention (just one last time) on what you don’t want. Use the FasterEFT tools you’ve learned (or take the opportunity to learn them properly) and redirect your life toward what you truly want.
If you’re sick or suffering from pain, you need to make peace with the illness and focus on healing. If you’re stuck in a bad relationship, you must release the negatives and shift your attention to the relationship you really desire. If you feel weighed down by financial scarcity, stop giving energy to the lack and instead take action that moves you toward abundance.
If you can’t do it alone, ask someone who knows how to guide you. And I happen to know someone…
